Petron GEAR SHIELD® P is semi synthetic Gear oil for kiln girth gear lubrication and other open gear lubrication applications.
Gear Shield P open-gear grease is a high viscosity and is one of the high-performance Engineered open gear lubricants of the Petron Gear Shield series, designed for open gear drives on stationary rotating machinery. Gear Shield P can be applied through an auto-lube system, sump, or bath-type application.
Petron Gear Shield P is a high viscosity and is a semi-synthetic gear oil type lubricant that is part of a long family of proven open-gear lubes open gear lubrication. Gear Shield P is a high-viscosity fluid that provides superior separation of gear teeth on rotating machinery and it is especially effective on rotating machinery that operates at elevated temperatures. These units would include kilns, driers, and coal mills.
Gear Shield P is a blend of high-viscosity semi synthetic gear oil and mineral base fluids as well as a highly refined resin. These resins are combined with E.P. and oxidation-resistant additives that further enhance gear protection. Petron Gear Shield P is the open gear lubricant of choice for mills and kilns in grinding and indurating processing. It is also the product of choice in the power generation and cement industries where elevated heat is encountered on a regular basis.

Petron Gear Shield P is available in pails, kegs, drums, bin tanks, and tank truck.
